Top tips to ace your PCE Written Exam!

The most effective study routine in the world is useless if you can’t stick to it. Here’s our top study tips to help you ace that PCE written exam!

1.     Find or create your own mock style vignette questions.

·      There’s no better way to study for an exam than to mimic the exam style and conditions.
·      By practicing mock style questions you’ll get an idea of the areas you are both strong in and those that may require a little more preparation and focus.

2.     Find a study buddy!

·      What better way to keep you accountable than by studying with a friend.
·      Both you and your study partner may be stronger in different clinical areas, for example, I found my study buddy was very knowledgeable when it came to studying the MSK portion for the PCE and I was more interested in the cardiorespiratory material – we were able to balance and challenge each other!

3.     Make a study plan and stick to it!

·      Make a plan to ensure you are covering each clinical area.
·      Keeps things interesting – I found studying MSK, CP and Neuro on different days to be helpful. It helped mix things up and I was able to stay focused!

4.     Take breaks!

·      Make sure you recharge and relax throughout the day - go for a walk, spend time with friends or go to the gym to clear your mind.
·      Drink plenty of water and get a good night sleep!
